Admission Process Overview
The admission process for the Business Administration program at Adani University Ahmedabad is designed to be transparent, fair, and aligned with national standards. The process involves multiple stages including application submission, entrance examination (JEE Main/JEE Advanced), merit list preparation, and counseling.
Application Submission
Prospective students must first submit an online application form through the university's official portal. The application requires personal details, academic history, contact information, and documents such as 10th and 12th grade certificates, photograph, signature, and category certificate (if applicable).
Applications are typically accepted from April to May each year. The deadline for submission is usually set two weeks before the entrance examination date. Late applications may be accepted at a nominal fee.
Entrance Examinations
The primary entrance examinations for admission include JEE Main and JEE Advanced, depending on the category of applicants. Candidates who have appeared in these exams are eligible to apply for seats in the program.
For candidates appearing in JEE Main, a minimum score of 60 percentile is required for general category students. For reserved categories, the cutoff is usually lower, ranging from 45 to 55 percentiles.
JEE Advanced scores are considered for those who qualify and wish to pursue admission in premium institutions. The university accepts both JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores based on the candidate's preference and eligibility.
Merit List Preparation
After conducting the entrance examination, the university prepares a merit list based on the performance of candidates. The list considers factors such as total marks obtained in the exam, category-wise reservation policy, and regional preferences.
For each category (General, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD), separate merit lists are created. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifying criteria set by the university for each category.
Counseling Procedure
The counseling process is conducted in two phases: first round and spot round. In the first round, candidates are allotted seats based on their merit rank and preferences. If any seat remains vacant after the first round, a spot round is held to fill those seats.
During counseling, candidates must log into the official portal, select their preferred branch and college, confirm their choice, and pay the required fees. The process continues until all seats are filled or no further rounds are scheduled.

Exam Preparation Strategy
To prepare effectively for the entrance examination, aspirants should start by understanding the syllabus thoroughly. A structured study plan covering all subjects with regular practice tests is essential. Joining coaching centers or online courses can provide additional support and resources.
Time management is crucial during preparation. Candidates must allocate sufficient time to each subject while also practicing previous years' question papers. Mock tests help simulate exam conditions and improve speed and accuracy.
Counseling Tips
During counseling, it is important to carefully review the preferences and ranks before making choices. Avoid selecting too many colleges or branches in a single round. Instead, prioritize based on past trends and personal interest.
Also, be prepared to pay fees promptly once a seat is allotted. Failure to do so may result in loss of the allocated seat. Additionally, keep updated with official notifications regarding any changes in procedures or deadlines.
