Fee Components Explained

Hostel & Mess Charges

Mess charges vary depending on the room type and meal plan chosen by students:
- Standard Plan: INR 7,000 per month
- Premium Plan: INR 9,000 per month
Students can opt for a rebate if they live in the hostel but prefer to eat outside. The rebate is calculated based on actual usage and available slots.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
Akala University Bathinda offers several financial aid options to eligible students:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% waiver on tuition fees for students belonging to these categories.
- EWS Category: 50% concession on tuition fees.
- MCM (Meritorious Children of Migrant Workers): Full waiver on tuition and hostel charges.
Eligibility criteria for scholarships are based on family income slabs and academic performance. Students must submit relevant documents including caste certificates, income proofs, and mark sheets to apply.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
Payments can be made through online banking, debit/credit cards, or NEFT transfers. The university provides an official portal for easy payment processing with receipts generated automatically.
Late fees are applicable if payments are not made within 7 days of the due date. The late fee is calculated at 1% per day on the outstanding amount.
Refunds are processed only upon withdrawal from the university and subject to certain conditions:
- Withdrawal must be approved by the administration after review.
- Students must return all issued documents, books, and hostel belongings.
- Refund is credited within 30 working days after verification.
