The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis with adjustments made based on consumption patterns. Students are provided with a monthly bill reflecting their usage, and rebates are offered for regular attendance.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
The university provides financial assistance to deserving students through various scholarship schemes:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Full waiver of tuition fees and hostel charges. Additional scholarships up to Rs. 20,000/month for living expenses.
- EWS Category: Waiver of 50% tuition fee and full hostel charges. Additional grants of Rs. 10,000/month for living expenses.
- MCM (Meritorious Career Merit): Full waiver of tuition fees for top 2% performers in qualifying exams. Partial waiver of hostel charges for top 5% performers.
Eligibility criteria are based on family income slabs and academic performance:
- Income Slab: Annual income below Rs. 3 lakh for SC/ST/PwD, Rs. 6 lakh for EWS, Rs. 9 lakh for general category.
- Academic Performance: Minimum aggregate of 80% in 12th grade or equivalent for MCM scheme.
The application process involves submission of relevant documents including income certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), and academic transcripts. The university evaluates applications annually and disburses benefits accordingly.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fees must be paid through online banking or NEFT/RTGS transactions to ensure timely processing:
- Payment Deadlines: Fees are due by the 10th of each month. Late payments incur a penalty of Rs. 500 per day.
- Late Fee Calculations: For every day delayed beyond the deadline, an additional charge of Rs. 500 is added to the total amount due.
- Refund Rules: Refunds are processed within 30 days of withdrawal, subject to deductions for administrative charges and hostel fees incurred until the last month of occupancy.
Students must submit a formal application for refund along with supporting documents such as leave letters and proof of withdrawal. The refund is credited directly to the bank account provided during admission.
