Detailed Fee Components

Tuition Fee: This fee covers access to lectures, study materials, laboratory sessions, and faculty mentorship. It is divided into two semesters per year, with no additional charges for academic resources.

Hostel Rent: Hostel accommodation includes shared rooms with essential amenities like beds, tables, chairs, and internet connectivity. Room types vary from single occupancy to four-bedded sharing arrangements.

Mess Advance: A monthly advance is collected for meals provided in the campus mess. The billing system is transparent, with deductions made based on actual consumption and meal attendance records.

Student Benevolent Fund: This fund supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies, offering temporary assistance for medical expenses, family crises, or academic needs.

Medical Fees: Includes access to health services provided by the university's on-site clinic and emergency care facilities. Covers routine checkups, vaccinations, and basic treatments.

Gymkhana Fees: Covers membership and usage of campus gymnasiums, sports facilities, and recreational activities for students.

Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting internal assessments, end-term exams, practical evaluations, and result processing.

Hostel & Mess Charges

BIMT offers multiple hostel categories to accommodate different preferences and budgets. The standard room types include:

  • Single Occupancy Room: ₹15,000/month, includes air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and private bathroom.
  • Two-Bedded Sharing Room: ₹12,000/month, shared bathroom facilities, single bed with desk.
  • Four-Bedded Sharing Room: ₹8,000/month, common bathroom, shared study space.

The mess billing system is based on daily attendance and monthly consumption. Students are required to maintain a minimum attendance record for meal charges to be deducted from their accounts.

Rebate policies allow students to receive partial refunds during vacations or if they opt out of meals during specific periods. Rebates are processed automatically after verification by the hostel administration office.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

BIMT provides comprehensive financial aid programs for deserving students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% fee waiver based on valid certificates.
  • EWS Category: 50% fee concession with income proof up to ₹3 lakhs per annum.
  • MCM (Minority Community): 25% discount with documentation from the relevant authority.

Applications for fee concessions must be submitted by the end of the first week of each semester. Required documents include caste certificate, income certificate, and Aadhaar card copy. All applications are reviewed by a dedicated committee to ensure fair distribution of aid.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments are accepted through net banking, credit/debit cards, NEFT, or RTGS transactions. Students must complete payment within the deadline specified in the academic calendar to avoid late fees.

Late fees are calculated at 1% of the total amount per day beyond the due date. Refunds are processed only upon official withdrawal from the institution, subject to verification and approval by the finance department.

Students who wish to withdraw must submit a formal application along with reasons for departure. Refund eligibility depends on the timing of withdrawal and adherence to institutional guidelines. Refunds are typically credited within 30 working days after processing.
