Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in campus hostels with shared facilities such as common rooms, laundry services, Wi-Fi connectivity, and 24/7 security.

Mess Advance: Paid at the beginning of each semester to cover meal expenses. Students can adjust their mess bills monthly based on consumption.

Student Benevolent Fund: Supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies during their academic journey.

Medical Fees: Covers medical consultations, basic treatments, and access to on-campus health services.

Gymkhana Fees: Funds extracurricular activities including sports events, cultural festivals, workshops, and student-led initiatives.

Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting semester exams, practical assessments, and result processing.

Other Charges: Includes miscellaneous expenses such as registration fees, stationery supplies, and event organization costs.

Hostel & Mess Charges

D A V University Jalandhar offers multiple hostel options to accommodate students from diverse backgrounds. Room types include single occupancy, double occupancy, triple occupancy, and quad occupancy with varying comfort levels and amenities.

The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis where students prepay their meal charges based on their consumption patterns. Rebate policies are available for students who do not utilize all meals in a given month.

Hostel facilities include air-conditioned rooms, common lounges, study halls, and recreational spaces. Students can choose between AC and non-AC rooms depending on their preference and budget.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university offers several financial aid schemes to support deserving students. Eligibility criteria for scholarships include academic performance, income slabs, and specific categories such as SC/ST/PwD, EWS, and MCM.

Scholarships are awarded based on merit and need, with varying percentages covering tuition fees, hostel charges, or both. Applications must be submitted online through the university portal along with supporting documents like income certificates and academic transcripts.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid within the specified deadlines to avoid late penalties. Students can make payments through net banking, credit/debit cards, or bank transfers. A detailed payment schedule is communicated via email and SMS.

Late fee charges are calculated at 5% per month on outstanding balances until full payment is received. Refunds are processed within 15 working days after withdrawal from the program, subject to verification of all dues.
