Admission Process
The admission process for the International Business program at Department of Management Studies Kumaun University Campus Bhimtal is conducted through a combination of JEE Advanced and/or other relevant entrance examinations. The process involves several stages, each designed to ensure fair and transparent selection of candidates based on merit.
Step 1: Application Submission
The first stage involves online application submission through the official website of Kumaun University. Prospective students must fill out an application form with personal details, academic information, and preferences for admission categories. The application fee is typically INR 2000 for general category candidates and INR 1000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Step 2: Entrance Examination
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are required to appear for JEE Advanced or other qualifying examinations such as JEE Main, NEET, or state-level exams. The entrance examination tests candidates' knowledge in subjects related to mathematics, physics, chemistry, and general aptitude.
Step 3: Merit List Preparation
After the entrance examination, a merit list is prepared based on performance in the qualifying exam and category-wise weightage. Candidates are ranked according to their scores, with additional considerations for reservation categories as per government norms.
Step 4: Counseling Session
The next stage involves counseling sessions where candidates who have secured seats are invited to participate in the seat allocation process. During this session, candidates fill out choices for preferred branches and colleges based on their merit rank and available seats.
Step 5: Seat Acceptance
After successful counseling, candidates must confirm their seat acceptance by paying the required fees within the stipulated time frame. Failure to do so results in loss of the allocated seat.
