  • Hostel Rent: Provides accommodation for students residing on campus, ensuring safety and convenience.
  • Mess Advance: Ensures access to nutritious meals during the academic year, covering meal expenses for a month.
  • Student Benevolent Fund: Supports financial assistance for students facing unexpected hardships or emergencies.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel facilities at Des Pune University Pune are designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students. There are different room types available:

  • Semi-Detached Rooms: Shared rooms with two beds, attached bathrooms, and common areas.
  • Dormitory Rooms: Larger shared spaces accommodating up to four students per room.
  • Private Rooms: Individual rooms with private bathroom facilities for those preferring solitude.

The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis, where students pay an advance fee for meals. The charges vary slightly depending on the type of accommodation and meal plan selected. Rebate policies are available for students who do not consume meals regularly or who leave campus temporarily.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

We offer various financial aid options to support deserving students:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: Eligible students receive a 100% fee waiver based on caste certificates or disability certificates.
  • EWS Category: Students from economically weaker sections may receive partial fee concession up to 50% based on income slabs.
  • MCM (Minority Community): Eligible students receive a 25% fee waiver upon submission of valid documents.

Applications for fee waivers must be submitted along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates, or disability certificates. The process involves verification by the university administration and approval from the designated authorities.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid through online banking or credit/debit card transactions. Late payments attract a penalty of INR 500 per day until the balance is cleared.

The refund policy applies in cases of withdrawal from the program, with deductions made for administrative costs and any pending dues. Refunds are processed within 30 days of receiving the withdrawal application, subject to verification of records.
