Fee Components Explained
The total fee structure includes several components to cover various aspects of student life and education:
- Tuition Fee: Covers classroom instruction, access to labs, digital resources, and academic support services.
- Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation facilities with basic amenities such as beds, tables, chairs, and Wi-Fi.
- Mess Advance: A fixed amount paid in advance to cover meal expenses during the semester. The actual cost is adjusted based on consumption.

Hostel & Mess Charges
The hostel facilities at Government Polytechnic Bazpur are equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable living experience. There are different room types available:
- Single Occupancy Room: ₹10,000 per semester.
- Double Occupancy Room: ₹8,000 per semester.
- Triple Occupancy Room: ₹6,000 per semester.
The mess system operates on a monthly billing cycle. Students are required to pay an advance amount for meals, which is adjusted at the end of the month based on actual consumption. Rebates are available for students who stay in the hostel for more than six months and show good academic standing.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
Financial aid options are available for deserving students through various schemes:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Eligible students receive a 100% waiver on tuition fees.
- EWS Category: Students receive a 50% concession on tuition fees and full waiver on hostel rent.
- MCM (Minority Community Member): Students from minority communities get a 25% discount on tuition fees.
Additional scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, extracurricular achievements, and financial need. The application process requires submission of relevant documents including income certificates, caste certificates, and proof of residence.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fees must be paid within the first week of the semester. Late payments attract a penalty of ₹500 per day. Students who withdraw from the program are eligible for refunds after deducting administrative charges and any outstanding dues.
The refund process is handled by the finance department, which evaluates each case based on the withdrawal date and reasons provided. Refunds are processed within 30 days of submission of the withdrawal form and supporting documents.
