Fee Structure Overview

The total fee for the 4-year Mechanical Engineering program at Government Polytechnic Jakhanidhar includes tuition, hostel charges, mess fees, and other miscellaneous expenses. The breakdown is as follows:

Detailed Fee Components

Each component of the fee structure is explained below:

• Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, curriculum development, and academic resources. This remains constant throughout the program.
• Hostel Rent: Charges vary based on room type (single, double, triple). The hostel offers modern amenities including Wi-Fi, laundry services, and 24/7 security.
• Mess Advance: Students pay a monthly advance for meals, which is adjusted at the end of each month. The mess serves hygienic, nutritious food with diverse options.
• Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal amount collected to support students in need, including medical emergencies and scholarships.
• Medical Fees: Covers basic health check-ups, consultations, and emergency care provided by the on-campus medical center.
• Gymkhana Fees: Supports sports activities, gym facilities, and extracurricular events.
• Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs associated with conducting internal and external examinations.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel accommodation is available in three types:

• Single Room: INR 25,000/year
• Double Room: INR 20,000/year
• Triple Room: INR 18,000/year

The mess charges are as follows:

• Daily Meal Cost: INR 150 per meal
• Monthly Advance: INR 15,000/month
• Rebate Policy: Students with good attendance may receive rebates of up to 10%.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

We offer various financial assistance programs:

• SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% fee waiver for eligible students with income slabs up to INR 50,000/year.
• EWS Category: 50% fee concession for families with annual income between INR 50,000 and INR 1 lakh.
• MCM (Minority Community): 25% fee concession for students from minority communities with income below INR 1 lakh/year.

Applications for fee concessions must be submitted along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates, and PwD certificates.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments can be made online via net banking or through the official payment gateway. Late payments incur a penalty of INR 1000 per month.

The refund policy applies in case of withdrawal from the program:

• Before Completion of First Semester: Full refund minus processing charges of INR 5000
• After First Semester but Before Completion of Second Semester: Refund of 75% of fees
• After Second Semester: No refund is provided

All refunds are processed within 45 days of the withdrawal request, subject to verification by the finance department.
