Fee Component Breakdown

The fee structure for the Mechanical Engineering program at Govt Polytechnic Satpuli is designed to be transparent and affordable, ensuring quality education without financial burden. Each component of the fee serves a specific purpose:

  • Tuition Fee: Covers instruction costs including faculty salaries, curriculum development, and administrative overheads.
  • Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation facilities with basic amenities like beds, tables, chairs, and common areas for residents.
  • Mess Advance: Prepaid meal charges to ensure continuous service throughout the semester.
  • Student Benevolent Fund: Supports financially disadvantaged students through scholarships and emergency assistance.
  • Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided by the campus health center for enrolled students.
  • Gymkhana Fees: Funds student activities, sports events, and extracurricular programs on campus.
  • Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs related to conducting exams, evaluating papers, and issuing results.

Hostel & Mess Charges

Our hostel facilities are designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students. There are different room types available:

  • Single Occupancy Room: ₹12,000 per semester with attached bathroom and AC.
  • Double Occupancy Room: ₹10,000 per semester with shared bathroom and AC.
  • Triple Occupancy Room: ₹8,000 per semester with shared bathroom and non-AC.

The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis. Students pay an advance amount at the beginning of each month, which covers meals for that period. The average daily meal cost is approximately ₹150 per day. Rebates are available for students who miss meals due to valid reasons such as illness or academic commitments.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

We offer several financial assistance schemes to support deserving students:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% waiver on tuition fees and 50% concession on hostel rent.
  • EWS Category: 50% waiver on tuition fees and 25% concession on hostel rent.
  • MCM (Minority Community Member): 50% waiver on tuition fees.

Eligibility criteria are based on income slabs and family composition. Applications must be submitted with supporting documents such as caste certificates, income certificates, and Aadhaar cards. The scholarship committee reviews applications annually and disburses benefits accordingly.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments for fees can be made through multiple channels:

  • Online Payment Gateway: Secure payment portal integrated with the university's system.
  • Bank Transfer: Direct transfer to the university's designated bank account.
  • Cash Payments: Available at the finance office during working hours.

Late payments attract a penalty of ₹500 per day until the full amount is cleared. Refunds are processed only upon withdrawal from the institution and subject to verification of all dues. The refund policy ensures that students receive their money within 30 days of submission of the withdrawal application.
