Each room comes with a monthly rent that varies based on the type of accommodation. Single occupancy rooms cost ₹4000 per month, while double and triple rooms are priced at ₹3000 and ₹2000 respectively. Additional charges may apply for extra services such as laundry or maintenance.
The mess system operates on a monthly advance model where students pay an upfront amount that is later adjusted based on actual consumption. The menu includes a variety of vegetarian dishes prepared in hygienic conditions, ensuring balanced nutrition for all students.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
Government Polytechnic Shaktifarm offers several financial assistance programs to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
SC/ST/PwD Category: Students belonging to these categories receive a 100% waiver on tuition fees, subject to verification of eligibility certificates.
EWS Category: Eligible students can avail a 50% concession on tuition fees, with income slabs up to ₹8 lakh per annum.
MCM (Married Children of Marginalized Communities): Students from MCM backgrounds receive a 25% reduction in tuition fees.
Scholarships are also available based on academic performance and extracurricular achievements. Merit-based scholarships range from ₹10,000 to ₹50,000 per annum, depending on the student's percentile rank.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
Fees must be paid through online banking or debit/credit cards via the official portal of Government Polytechnic Shaktifarm. Late payments incur a penalty fee of ₹500 per day, with a maximum cap of ₹10,000.
Refunds are processed only in cases of withdrawal from the program or transfer to another institution. Students must submit a formal application along with supporting documents such as medical certificates or migration letters.
The refund process typically takes 30-45 working days after approval. Refundable amounts include tuition fees, hostel rent, and mess charges (excluding any deductions for late payments or administrative costs).
