Detailed Fee Components
Tuition Fee
The tuition fee covers access to lectures, faculty mentorship, laboratory sessions, and administrative services. It is updated annually based on inflation rates and infrastructure costs.
Hostel Rent
Hostel accommodation provides a comfortable living environment with shared amenities such as study rooms, common areas, and recreational facilities. The rent includes utilities like electricity, water, internet connectivity, and security services.
Mess Advance
The mess advance is a fixed amount paid at the beginning of each semester to cover meal expenses. Students can adjust their accounts monthly based on consumption patterns and receive refunds for unused portions.
Student Benevolent Fund
This fund supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies. Contributions are voluntary but encouraged, with the university matching donations up to a certain limit.
Medical Fees
The medical fee covers basic healthcare services provided on campus through the university's health center. This includes consultations, diagnostics, and minor treatments.
Gymkhana Fees
This fee supports extracurricular activities, sports events, and cultural programs organized by the student union. It ensures access to gymnasiums, sports facilities, and recreational clubs.
Examination Fees
These fees cover costs associated with conducting examinations, including invigilation, question paper preparation, result processing, and certificate generation.
Hostel & Mess Charges
Room Types
- Solo Room: Single occupancy room with private bathroom (INR 25,000/month)
- Duo Room: Double occupancy room with shared bathroom (INR 15,000/month)
- Quad Room: Four-person room with shared bathroom (INR 10,000/month)
Mess Billing System
The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis. Students are charged based on their consumption, and refunds are processed for unused portions at the end of each month. Meals are served twice daily (breakfast and lunch) with options for vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
Rebate Policies
Students who take leaves or go on short-term projects may be eligible for mess rebates. Rebates are calculated based on the number of days absent from campus during the month.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
Eligibility Criteria
- SC/ST/PwD: Income below INR 1.5 lakh/year
- EWS: Income between INR 1.5 lakh and INR 3 lakh/year
- MCM (Minority Community): Income below INR 2 lakh/year
Benefits
- SC/ST/PwD: Full fee waiver for tuition, hostel, and mess charges
- EWS: 50% concession on all fees
- MCM: 25% concession on tuition fee only
Application Process
Candidates must submit an application form along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), and PwD certificates. The university's financial aid office reviews applications and grants concessions based on verified information.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
Payment Deadlines
All fees must be paid by the specified deadline announced at the start of each semester. Late payments attract a penalty fee of INR 500 per day until full payment is made.
Late Fee Calculations
Students who fail to pay within the deadline are subject to a late fee of INR 500 per day. Payments received after two weeks of the deadline are considered as default and may lead to cancellation of admission.
Refund Rules
If a student withdraws from the program before completing one semester, a refund of tuition fees is processed after deducting administrative charges. Hostel and mess fees are non-refundable unless specified otherwise in special circumstances.
