Fee Component Details
Tuition Fee: Covers the cost of instruction, access to academic resources, and administrative services provided by the university.
Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in campus-hostels with basic amenities such as Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and 24/7 security.
Mess Advance: A prepayment for meal expenses within the campus cafeteria, which is adjusted at the end of each semester based on actual consumption.
Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal fee collected to support students facing financial hardships or emergencies during their academic journey.
Medical Fees: Covers access to on-campus medical facilities, including consultations with doctors and laboratory tests.
Gymkhana Fees: Supports recreational activities and sports events organized by the university's gymkhana committee.
Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting examinations, including question paper preparation, invigilation, and result processing.
Hostel & Mess Charges
The hostel system offers multiple room types to accommodate students' preferences and budgets:
- Single Occupancy Room: ₹40,000 per semester with private bathroom and Wi-Fi access.
- Double Occupancy Room: ₹35,000 per semester with shared bathroom and common spaces.
- Triple Occupancy Room: ₹30,000 per semester with shared bathroom and communal kitchen area.
Mess billing operates on a monthly basis with options for different meal plans. Students can choose between standard, vegetarian, or non-vegetarian meals, with charges varying accordingly. Rebate policies are available for students from economically weaker sections (EWS) and PwD categories.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
Financial assistance is available through various waiver schemes based on income slabs:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Full waiver of tuition fee and hostel rent for students from marginalized communities.
- EWS Category: 50% concession in all fees except examination fees, which are fully waived.
- MCM (Most Backward Classes): 30% reduction in tuition fee and mess advance charges.
Students must submit relevant documents such as income certificates, caste certificates, or disability certificates to apply for these benefits. Applications are processed through the university's online portal after verification by the financial aid committee.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fees must be paid within 15 days of registration. Late payments attract a penalty of ₹500 per day until full payment is received. Students can make payments via online banking, credit/debit cards, or demand drafts.
If a student withdraws from the program before completing the first semester, they are entitled to a refund of 80% of the total fees paid, excluding examination and medical fees. Refunds are processed within 30 working days after submission of withdrawal forms and necessary documentation.
