Examination Details

The primary qualifying examination is JEE Advanced or JEE Main, depending on the category and eligibility criteria. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements are eligible to appear for these exams. The question paper consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Admission is based on the rank obtained in the qualifying examination. For each category, a separate merit list is prepared using normalized scores. The process includes normalization of marks to ensure fairness across different exam sessions.

Seat Allocation

Seats are allocated through a centralized counseling process conducted by the university. Candidates must participate in the counseling session and make choices based on their ranks and preferences. The allocation is done according to the merit list, category-wise reservation, and availability of seats.

Candidates who are not allocated seats in the first round can participate in subsequent rounds if available. The process ensures equitable distribution of seats across different categories and specializations.

Exam Preparation Tips

Preparing for the qualifying examination requires a strategic approach. Students should start by understanding the syllabus and pattern of the exam. Creating a study schedule that allocates time to each subject helps in maintaining consistency.

Regular practice through mock tests and previous year papers enhances speed and accuracy. Focus on weak areas and seek guidance from teachers or mentors when facing difficulties. Joining coaching classes or online preparation platforms can provide additional support and resources.

Time management is crucial during the exam. Students should practice solving questions within the stipulated time to improve efficiency. Maintaining physical and mental health through proper sleep, nutrition, and exercise ensures better performance.

Counseling Process

The counseling process involves filling choices in order of preference among available seats. Candidates must log in using their application number and password to select their preferred specialization and category-wise seats.

After the final seat allocation, candidates receive an admission letter with details of the assigned seat and fee payment instructions. The process concludes with document verification and fee submission within the specified deadline.
