Fee Structure

The total fee for the Electronics program at Jaswant Singh Rawat Government Polytechnic Bironkhal includes tuition fees, hostel charges, mess advance, student benevolent fund, medical fees, gymkhana fees, and examination fees. The structure is designed to be transparent and affordable, with provisions for financial assistance based on income criteria.

Each semester, students are required to pay the tuition fee along with additional charges for hostel, mess, and other services. The total annual cost of education is approximately 90,000 INR, making it accessible to students from middle-class families.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The institute provides comfortable accommodation facilities in well-maintained hostels with basic amenities including beds, study tables, wardrobes, and internet connectivity. Hostel rooms are allocated on a sharing basis (2-4 occupants) to ensure cost efficiency.

Room types vary based on comfort levels and location within the campus:

• AC Single Room: INR 15000 per semester
• AC Double Room: INR 10000 per semester
• Non-AC Room: INR 8000 per semester

The mess charges are inclusive of meals for all days in a month, with options to choose between vegetarian and non-vegetarian menus. The billing system is automated through smart cards issued to each student, allowing seamless transactions at the mess counter.

Rebate policies are available for students who do not consume meals regularly or those who leave campus during certain periods. These rebates are calculated based on attendance records and require formal applications submitted to the hostel authority.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The institute recognizes the financial challenges faced by deserving students and provides several mechanisms for fee assistance:

• SC/ST/PwD Category: Students from SC/ST/PwD categories are eligible for 100% fee waiver upon submission of valid certificates.
• EWS Category: Eligible students receive a 50% concession on tuition fees, subject to income verification.
• MCM (Minority Community Member): MCM students may qualify for partial fee concessions based on their economic status and documentation.

Income slabs for scholarship eligibility are as follows:

• Below INR 2.5 Lakhs: Full concession
• INR 2.5 - 5 Lakhs: 50% concession
• INR 5 - 10 Lakhs: 25% concession

The application process involves submitting an income certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and a filled-out application form to the finance department. Decisions are made within two weeks of submission.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments for fees are made online through secure gateways supported by the institute’s ERP system. Students must ensure timely payment to avoid late fees and penalties. The payment deadline is usually the first week of each semester.

Late fee charges apply if payments are made beyond the specified deadline:

• First Week: No penalty
• Second Week: INR 500 per day
• Third Week: INR 1000 per day

In case of withdrawal from the program, students are entitled to a refund of fees according to the following schedule:

• Before 15 Days of Admission: Full refund minus administrative charges
• Between 15-30 Days: 75% refund
• After 30 Days: No refund

Refunds are processed within 60 days of withdrawal, subject to verification of documents and compliance with institute regulations. Students must submit a formal withdrawal letter along with necessary documentation for the refund process.
