Fee Structure Overview
The total fee for the Biotechnology program at Lok Jagruti Kendra University Ahmedabad is designed to cover comprehensive educational and residential expenses. The structure is divided into semester-wise components to facilitate financial planning.

Detailed Fee Components
Tuition Fee: Covers academic instruction, access to libraries, and learning resources. This fee remains consistent across all semesters.
Hostel Rent: Charged monthly based on room type (single, double, triple sharing). Single rooms are available for an additional premium.
Mess Advance: Monthly mess advance is collected at the beginning of each semester to cover food expenses. Refunds are processed quarterly based on consumption.
Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal fee collected to support financially disadvantaged students and fund extracurricular activities.
Medical Fees: Covers basic medical check-ups, consultations, and emergency care available on campus.
Gymkhana Fees: Supports campus recreational facilities and sports activities. Includes access to gyms, playing fields, and fitness equipment.
Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting end-of-semester examinations, including paper printing, invigilation, and result processing.
Hostel & Mess Charges
Our hostel facilities provide comfortable accommodation for students, with options for single, double, and triple-sharing rooms. Room charges vary based on occupancy:
- Single Sharing: ₹2500/month
- Double Sharing: ₹1800/month
- Triple Sharing: ₹1300/month
Mess charges are fixed at ₹5000/month, covering three meals daily. The system includes an advance payment model where students pay in bulk for the semester. Refunds are issued quarterly if consumption is less than advance amount.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
Several scholarship programs are available to support deserving students:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Full waiver of tuition fee with partial concession on hostel rent and mess charges. Income slabs for eligibility: Below ₹2 lakh/year.
- EWS Category: 50% waiver on tuition fee with full concessions on hostel and mess charges. Income slabs: ₹2-5 lakh/year.
- MCM (Minority Community): 25% waiver on tuition fee with full concession on hostel charges. Income slabs: Below ₹3 lakh/year.
Applications for financial aid must be submitted during the admission process or within one month of enrollment. Eligibility is verified through income certificates and other relevant documents.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
Payments can be made online through net banking, credit/debit cards, or demand drafts. The deadline for payment is the first week of each semester. Late payments attract a fee of ₹1000 per day until cleared.
In case of withdrawal, refunds are processed according to the university's refund policy:
- Before First Month: Full refund minus processing charges
- After First Month: 75% refund with deduction of administrative fees
- After Three Months: 50% refund with additional deductions
Refunds are processed within 30 days after submission of withdrawal forms and required documentation.
