Fee Structure Overview

The total fee for the Pharmacy program at Mahatama Gandhi University Ri Bhoi is structured over four years. The breakdown per semester is as follows:

Component-wise Fee Explanation

Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, academic resources, and administrative costs associated with the program.

Hostel Rent: Provides accommodation facilities for students staying on campus. Different room types are available based on comfort levels and amenities.

Mess Advance: Prepaid meal charges to ensure consistent food service availability throughout the academic year.

Student Benevolent Fund: A fund supporting financially disadvantaged students through scholarships and emergency assistance programs.

Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided on campus including consultations, vaccinations, and health check-ups.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports extracurricular activities, sports events, and cultural programs organized by the student body.

Examination Fees: Covers costs related to conducting semester-end and annual examinations, including evaluation, grading, and result processing.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The university offers various hostel accommodation options ranging from single occupancy rooms to shared dormitories with common facilities. Room types include:

• Single Occupancy Rooms: Private rooms with attached bathrooms for Rs. 20,000 per semester.
• Double Occupancy Rooms: Shared rooms with attached bathrooms for Rs. 15,000 per semester.
• Triple Occupancy Rooms: Shared rooms with common bathroom facilities for Rs. 10,000 per semester.

Mess charges are fixed at Rs. 15,000 per semester and include three meals daily. The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis with adjustments made based on attendance records.

Rebate policies are applicable for students who do not require hostel accommodation or fail to complete the full semester due to valid reasons such as medical emergencies or academic leave.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university provides several fee waiver schemes and financial aid options for eligible students:

• SC/ST/PwD Category Students: Eligible for 100% fee waiver with income slabs up to Rs. 2 lakh annually.
• EWS Category Students: Eligible for 50% fee waiver with income slabs up to Rs. 4 lakh annually.
• MCM (Maiden Child of Marginalized Communities): Eligible for 75% fee waiver with income slabs up to Rs. 3 lakh annually.

The application process involves submitting necessary documents including income certificates, caste certificates, and disability certificates through the university portal. Selection is based on verification and validation of submitted information.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Fees must be paid within specified deadlines to avoid late fee charges. Payment can be made via online banking, net banking, debit/credit cards, or bank transfers. Late fees are calculated at 5% per month on outstanding amounts.

Refund policies apply in cases of withdrawal from the program before completion. Refunds are processed after deducting administrative charges and any applicable penalties. Students must submit a formal request along with required documentation to initiate the refund process.
