Fee Structure Overview
The total fee structure for the B.Tech Agriculture program at Mahaveer University Meerut is designed to provide value through comprehensive education, infrastructure, and support services. The fees are divided into semester-wise components and include tuition, hostel charges, mess advance, and other recurring expenses.

Detailed Fee Components
- Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, laboratory sessions, library access, and academic resources.
- Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in a shared or private room with basic amenities.
- Mess Advance: Prepaid monthly charges for meals served in the campus mess facility.
- Student Benevolent Fund: A voluntary contribution towards student welfare and scholarships.
- Medical Fees: Covers healthcare services provided within the university premises.
- Gymkhana Fees: Supports recreational activities, sports facilities, and campus events.
- Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs associated with conducting end-of-semester exams.
Hostel & Mess Charges
The university provides accommodation in air-conditioned hostels with single, double, or triple occupancy options. Hostel charges are inclusive of utilities such as electricity, water, internet, and maintenance services.
Mess charges are collected monthly based on the number of days attended. The billing system uses a digital platform where students can track their consumption and make payments online. Rebates are available for students who attend less than 70% of meals during a month.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
The university offers various fee concessions and scholarships to deserving students based on merit and financial background:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: 50% waiver on tuition fees.
- EWS Category: 25% waiver on tuition fees.
- MCM (Minority Community Member): 10% waiver on tuition fees.
- Top Performers: Full waiver for students scoring above 95% in qualifying exams.
Eligibility criteria include income slabs, reservation categories, and academic performance. Applications must be submitted along with supporting documents during the admission process or within the first month of enrollment.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fees must be paid before the start of each semester. Payment can be made through net banking, credit/debit cards, NEFT/RTGS, or cash at the university office. Late payments attract a penalty of ₹100 per day until clearance is achieved.
If a student withdraws from the program, the refund policy applies as follows:
- Within 15 days: Full refund minus processing fees.
- Between 15-30 days: 70% refund minus processing fees.
- Beyond 30 days: No refund is issued.
The refund process takes 30 working days after submission of the withdrawal form and all required documents.
