Each component of the fee structure serves a specific purpose in supporting the overall educational experience:

Tuition Fee

The tuition fee covers access to classroom instruction, laboratory sessions, and academic resources. It includes access to digital libraries, online course materials, and faculty mentorship programs.

Hostel Rent

Hostel rent provides accommodation for students living on campus. The facilities include private rooms, shared bathrooms, common areas, and 24/7 security.

Mess Advance

The mess advance is a prepayment for meals during the semester. It includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner options at the university's cafeteria.

Student Benevolent Fund

This fund supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies. Contributions are voluntary but help ensure that no student misses out on essential services due to economic constraints.

Medical Fees

The medical fee covers access to healthcare services provided by the university's medical center, including consultations, medications, and emergency care.

Gymkhana Fees

This fee supports extracurricular activities, sports facilities, cultural events, and student clubs. It enables students to participate in various activities beyond academics.

Examination Fees

The examination fee covers the cost of conducting end-of-semester tests, practical assessments, and final evaluations. It also includes access to digital resources for exam preparation.

Hostel & Mess Charges

Mahaveer University Meerut offers multiple hostel options with varying room types:

• Single Occupancy Room: 30,000 INR per semester
• Double Occupancy Room: 25,000 INR per semester
• Triple Occupancy Room: 20,000 INR per semester

The mess billing system is designed to be transparent and flexible. Students can choose between:

• Full Meal Plan: Includes all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
• Half Meal Plan: Includes two meals per day

Rebate policies are available for students who miss meals due to valid reasons such as illness or travel. Rebates are calculated on a pro-rata basis and applied at the end of each month.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university provides several financial aid options based on income slabs and other criteria:

• SC/ST/PwD Category: Full waiver of tuition fee for eligible students with annual family income below 2 lakhs
• EWS Category: 50% concession in tuition fee for families with income between 2-6 lakhs
• MCM (Meritorious Children of Migrant Workers): Full waiver of tuition and hostel fees

Applications for these benefits must be submitted along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates, and disability certificates.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

The payment procedures are straightforward:

• Deadline: Fees must be paid within 10 days of admission or before the start of classes
• Late Fee: A late fee of 500 INR per day is charged for delayed payments
• Payment Modes: Online banking, net banking, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers are accepted

In case of withdrawal from the university, refund rules apply:

• Before 15 days of admission: Full refund minus processing charges
• Between 15-30 days: 70% refund
• After 30 days: No refund is provided

Refunds are processed within 30 working days after submission of all necessary documents and approval by the administrative committee.
