Detailed Breakdown of Fee Components

The tuition fee covers access to all classroom instruction, laboratory sessions, library resources, and digital learning platforms. It also includes the cost of maintaining faculty salaries, updating course materials, and supporting academic research initiatives.

Hostel rent provides accommodation in well-maintained residential facilities equipped with modern amenities such as internet connectivity, air conditioning, and 24/7 security. The hostel charges vary based on room type, with single occupancy rooms being the most expensive due to their privacy and convenience.

Mess advance is a fixed amount collected at the beginning of each semester to cover meal expenses for the entire term. Students can adjust their mess charges at the end of the semester based on actual consumption, with any surplus refunded or deficit added accordingly.

The Student Benevolent Fund supports initiatives aimed at helping financially struggling students and promoting community welfare activities. Contributions are used for scholarships, emergency assistance, and cultural events that enrich student life.

Medical fees cover basic healthcare services provided by the university's on-campus medical center. This includes consultations with general physicians, routine check-ups, and access to essential medicines.

Gymkhana fees support the maintenance of sports facilities and extracurricular activities including fitness centers, recreational games, and athletic events. These funds ensure that students have opportunities for physical wellness and social engagement.

Examination fees are collected at the beginning of each semester to cover administrative costs associated with conducting assessments, grading, and issuing transcripts. This includes the cost of exam hall preparation, proctoring, and result processing.

Hostel & Mess Charges

  • Premium Plan: ₹12,000 per semester, includes 20 meals per week with additional snacks and beverages.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Mahindra University Telangana offers various financial aid options to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: Full waiver of tuition fee and hostel rent for eligible students with valid certificates.
  • EWS Category: 50% concession on tuition fee for families with annual income between ₹8 lakh and ₹12 lakh.
  • MCM (Meritorious Children of Meritorious Parents): 25% discount on all fees for students who have excelled in national-level competitions or academic achievements.

Income slabs for scholarship eligibility are as follows:

  • General Category: Annual income up to ₹10 lakh
  • EWS Category: Annual income up to ₹8 lakh
  • SC/ST/PwD Category: Annual income up to ₹4 lakh

The application process for fee waivers involves submitting relevant documentation such as income certificates, caste certificates, disability certificates, and academic transcripts. Applications are reviewed by a committee that ensures fair and transparent distribution of benefits.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments for tuition fees, hostel rent, and other charges can be made through online banking, credit/debit cards, or NEFT/RTGS transfers. The university provides an online portal where students can track their payment status and generate receipts.

Payment deadlines are strictly enforced to ensure timely processing of admissions and enrollment procedures. Late payments incur a penalty fee calculated as 2% per month on the outstanding amount, with a maximum cap of ₹5,000.

The refund policy applies in cases where students withdraw from the program or transfer to another institution. Refunds are processed after deducting administrative charges, penalties, and any outstanding dues. The timeline for refund processing is typically 30-45 days from the date of submission of withdrawal forms.
