Admissions Process
The admission process for the Biotechnology program at Mangalayatan University Aligarh is highly competitive and designed to identify academically strong candidates with a passion for science and innovation.
Eligibility criteria are strictly enforced, requiring students to have completed their 12th-grade education from a recognized board with minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics or Computer Science. Candidates must also meet age limits as per university guidelines.
Entrance Examination
Candidates may apply through JEE Main or JEE Advanced (as applicable). The university accepts scores from these national-level examinations for initial shortlisting. Based on performance in the entrance exams, a merit list is prepared, which includes cutoff ranks for various categories including General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, and PwD.
Application Procedure
The online application process begins several weeks before the scheduled entrance exam dates. Candidates must fill out the application form with accurate personal, academic, and contact details. Required documents include 10th and 12th mark sheets, identity proof, category certificate (if applicable), and passport-size photographs.
After successful submission of the form, candidates receive an acknowledgment number that can be used for tracking the status of their application. Once the entrance exam results are announced, shortlisted candidates must appear for document verification at the university campus.
Document Verification
The document verification stage involves submission of original certificates and attested photocopies of all relevant documents. The university ensures that all information provided is genuine and matches with official records. Candidates who fail to submit required documents within the stipulated time are disqualified from the admission process.
Seat Allocation
Seats are allocated based on merit scores obtained in the entrance exams, followed by counseling sessions conducted by the university. During the counseling process, candidates must choose their preferred programs and institutions according to their rank positions.
