Admissions

Admission Process

The admission process for the MBA program at Navrachana University Vadodara is designed to be transparent, fair, and merit-based. It ensures that qualified candidates with a strong academic background and leadership potential are selected for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the MBA program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (47% for OBC-NCL, 45% for SC/ST, and 40% for EWS categories).
  • Age limit is 27 years for General category candidates, 30 years for OBC-NCL, and 32 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • Candidates must have a valid score in any recognized entrance exam (e.g., CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT).

Application Procedure

The application process involves several key steps:

  1. Online Registration: Candidates must register online through the university's official portal. The registration form requires personal details, educational history, work experience (if applicable), and contact information.
  2. Document Upload: All required documents such as academic certificates, identity proof, income certificate (for reserved categories), and passport-size photographs must be uploaded in PDF format.
  3. Payment of Application Fee: The application fee is INR 1000 for General category candidates and INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  4. Confirmation: Once the payment is processed, a confirmation message is sent to the registered email address. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of this confirmation for future reference.

Document Verification

After the initial screening, shortlisted candidates are called for document verification at the university campus. The following documents must be submitted:

  • Academic certificates (10th and 12th standard)
  • Graduation certificate and marksheet
  • Identity proof (Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport)
  • Income certificate (for EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD candidates)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Work experience certificate (if any)

Counseling Process

The counseling process is conducted in two stages:

  1. Seat Allocation: Based on the candidate's rank, preferences, and availability of seats, the university allocates a seat to each candidate. The allocation is done using a centralized system that considers all factors including category-wise reservations.
  2. Choice Filling: Candidates are required to fill in their preferred choices from available programs based on their rank and interest. It is important to note that the order of choices determines the final seat allocation.
  3. Seat Acceptance: After the allocation, candidates must confirm their acceptance by paying the admission fee within the specified deadline. Failure to do so results in the forfeiture of the allocated seat.

Admission Categories and Cutoffs

The university follows a strict reservation policy for different categories:

  • General: 50% of seats
  • OBC-NCL: 27% of seats
  • SC/ST: 15% of seats
