Fee Components Explained

Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, academic resources, laboratory access, and administrative costs associated with the program. This fee is charged per semester and includes access to all core courses.

Hostel Rent: Provides accommodation for students within university premises. Rooms are shared or single occupancy depending on availability and preferences. Hostel facilities include Wi-Fi, laundry services, security, and 24/7 maintenance support.

Mess Advance: Prepaid mess charges covering meals during the semester. The advance is adjusted at the end of each month based on actual consumption and attendance records.

Student Benevolent Fund: A voluntary contribution used for scholarships, emergency assistance, and community welfare activities within the university.

Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided by the university’s medical center, including consultations, vaccinations, and minor treatments.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports extracurricular activities such as sports events, cultural programs, workshops, and student clubs. These funds ensure active participation in campus life and personal development.

Examination Fees: Covers costs related to conducting examinations, including question paper preparation, invigilation, result processing, and certificate generation.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The university offers various hostel room types, including twin-sharing, triple-sharing, and single-occupancy rooms. Twin-sharing rooms cost 30,000 INR per semester, while triple-sharing rooms are priced at 25,000 INR. Single rooms are available for an additional premium.

Mess charges are prepaid monthly and vary based on meal plans (standard or premium). Standard meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with an average monthly charge of 15,000 INR. Premium plans offer additional snacks and beverages.

Rebate policies are available for students who do not use certain facilities during specific periods. For example, if a student is absent for more than two weeks, they may receive partial refunds for mess charges and hostel rent.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Nicmar University offers multiple financial aid options to deserving students based on income criteria and academic performance. The following categories are eligible for scholarships:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: Full waiver of tuition fees and hostel charges for students with valid certificates.
  • EWS Category: 50% concession in tuition fee and full waiver in hostel rent.
  • MCM (Minority Community Members): 25% reduction in tuition fees and partial waiver in hostel charges.

Eligibility for these scholarships is determined by income slabs, with family income below 10 lakh per annum qualifying for full benefits. Applications must be submitted during the first week of the academic year along with supporting documents.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid within the specified deadlines to avoid late fees or disqualification from admission. Payment can be made online via net banking, credit/debit cards, or NEFT/RTGS transfers. A late fee of 500 INR per day is applicable beyond the due date.

If a student withdraws from the university, the refund policy applies as follows:

  • Withdrawal within one month: 100% refund
  • Withdrawal between 1–3 months: 80% refund
  • Withdrawal beyond 3 months: No refund

Refunds are processed within 60 days of withdrawal and credited directly to the student's bank account. The university reserves the right to deduct administrative charges from the refund amount.
