Fee Components Explained
Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, academic resources, and access to university facilities including libraries, labs, and workshops.
Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in single or shared rooms with basic amenities like bed, table, chair, fan, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Mess Advance: A refundable advance paid toward monthly food expenses. Students can adjust this amount based on consumption during the month.
Student Benevolent Fund: Supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies through scholarships and grants.
Medical Fees: Covers basic medical consultations, vaccinations, and health checks conducted on campus.
Gymkhana Fees: Funds recreational activities, sports equipment maintenance, and fitness programs for students.
Examination Fees: Covers costs related to conducting internal assessments, external exams, and result processing.
Hostel & Mess Charges
The university offers both single and double occupancy rooms with air conditioning. Room types include:
- Single Occupancy: INR 150,000 per semester
- Double Occupancy: INR 120,000 per semester
Mess charges are charged monthly at INR 3,000. Students can opt for different meal plans including vegetarian, non-vegetarian, or hybrid options.
Rebate policies allow students to receive partial refunds if they do not stay in the hostel during certain months or if they fall ill and cannot utilize the mess services.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
Scholarship criteria are based on income slabs and merit. Categories include:
- SC/ST/PwD: Full waiver for tuition fee with partial waiver for hostel charges.
- EWS: 50% concession in all fees except tuition.
- MCM (Minority Community Member): 30% concession in tuition and 20% in hostel charges.
Applications must be submitted along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates, or disability certificates. The university reviews applications annually and notifies successful candidates through official channels.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
Payments are due by the last week of each month. Late payments incur a penalty of INR 1000 per day until cleared.
Refunds are processed upon withdrawal or cancellation of admission within one month of registration. A processing fee of INR 5,000 is deducted from the refund amount.
For students who leave before completing the course, refunds are calculated proportionally based on time served and pending obligations.
