Project-Based Learning Approach
The department places a strong emphasis on project-based learning to foster critical thinking and practical application. Students engage in both mini-projects and a final-year capstone project that allows them to explore a topic of interest in depth.
Mini-projects are assigned at the end of each semester and involve analyzing real cases, conducting legal research, or presenting arguments on contemporary issues. These projects are evaluated based on clarity of argumentation, adherence to legal principles, and quality of presentation.
The final-year thesis/capstone project requires students to conduct independent research under the supervision of a faculty mentor. The project must demonstrate originality, depth of analysis, and relevance to current legal challenges. Students present their findings at a colloquium attended by faculty, peers, and practicing lawyers.
Project selection is guided by student interests and faculty expertise. Each student works closely with a mentor who helps them refine their research question, identify relevant sources, and develop a structured approach to their work.
