Hostel & Mess Charges

Rebate policies allow students to receive partial refunds if they do not utilize the full number of meals or if there are disruptions in service due to unforeseen circumstances. Additional charges apply for late meal deliveries or extra services requested by individual students.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Pandit Deendayal Energy University offers various financial aid schemes to support deserving students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:

• SC/ST/PwD Category: Eligible students receive a 100% fee waiver on tuition and hostel charges. Additional support includes scholarships for books, stationery, and other academic materials.
• EWS Category: Students from economically weaker sections are entitled to a 50% fee concession on all components except hostel charges, which remain at 100%.
• MCM (Meritorious Children of Migrant Workers): These students receive a 75% fee concession on tuition and hostel charges, with full support for mess and other academic expenses.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Late payments attract a penalty fee of Rs. 1000 per day until full payment is received. Students who fail to pay the fees within the stipulated time may face temporary suspension from classes or examination registration issues.

Refunds are processed under specific conditions outlined in the university's refund policy:

• Withdrawal from Course: Refund is possible up to 30 days after admission with a processing fee of Rs. 2000 deducted from the total refund amount.
• Transfer to Another Institution: Full refund is granted upon submission of transfer certificates and official requests from the receiving institution.
• Death of Student: Complete refund is provided along with necessary documentation confirming the death.

The university ensures prompt processing of refund requests within 15 working days after approval, subject to compliance with all formalities and regulations set forth by the governing authorities.
