Fee Components Explained

Each fee component serves a specific purpose in supporting the overall educational and living experience of students:

Tuition Fee

This is the primary cost for attending classes, accessing academic resources, and utilizing university facilities. It covers instruction by qualified faculty members, access to libraries, laboratories, and online learning platforms.

Hostel Rent

Hostel accommodation provides a safe and conducive environment for students to focus on their studies. The rent includes utilities such as electricity, water, internet, and maintenance services.

Mess Advance

The mess advance covers the cost of meals provided by the university's catering services. This ensures that students have access to nutritious food throughout the academic year.

Student Benevolent Fund

This fund supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies. Contributions are used for scholarships, medical assistance, and other welfare initiatives.

Medical Fees

This fee covers basic healthcare services provided by the university's medical center, including consultations, vaccinations, and emergency care.

Gymkhana Fees

The gymkhana fees support extracurricular activities, sports facilities, and wellness programs that promote physical fitness and mental well-being among students.

Examination Fees

This fee covers the administrative costs associated with conducting examinations, including proctoring, question paper preparation, and result processing.

Other Charges

This category includes miscellaneous fees such as stationery, transportation, and event-related expenses that contribute to a holistic student experience.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The university offers various types of hostel rooms to accommodate different preferences and budgets:

  • Single Occupancy Room: INR 12,000 per semester
  • Double Occupancy Room: INR 10,000 per semester
  • Triple Occupancy Room: INR 8,000 per semester

Mess charges are calculated based on the number of meals consumed per month. Students receive a monthly advance payment for their meals, which is adjusted at the end of each month.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university provides several financial aid options to support deserving students:

Eligibility Criteria

  • SC/ST/PwD: Students from SC/ST categories or those with PwD status are eligible for a 50% fee waiver.
  • EWS Category: Students from economically weaker sections receive a 25% fee concession.
  • MCM (Migrant Community Member): Students belonging to MCM category qualify for a 10% fee discount.

Benefits

Students who qualify for these concessions receive automatic reductions in their fees. Applications must be submitted during the admission process, and supporting documents must be provided for verification.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payment Deadlines

All fees must be paid within 10 days of the start of each semester. Late payments attract a penalty of INR 500 per day, up to a maximum of INR 5000.

Refund Policy

If a student withdraws from the university before completing the academic year, a refund of fees will be processed after deducting administrative charges. Refunds are typically processed within 30 days of submission of withdrawal forms and necessary documentation.

Payment Methods

Fees can be paid through various methods including online banking, NEFT, RTGS, debit/credit cards, and cash at designated counters on campus.
