Admissions Process

The admission process for the Engineering program at People S University Bhopal is designed to ensure that only the most qualified candidates gain entry. The university follows a merit-based system aligned with national-level entrance examinations such as JEE Advanced and JEE Main.

Admission Through JEE Advanced

Candidates who qualify in JEE Advanced are eligible for direct admission to the program. The selection is based on rank obtained in the examination, subject to meeting other eligibility criteria. Students must also fulfill the minimum qualifying percentage in their Class 12th board examinations.

Application Process and Strategy

The application process begins with registering on the official university portal. Candidates must fill out the online form with accurate details and upload required documents such as Aadhaar card, Class 12th marksheet, JEE scorecard, and category certificate if applicable.

After submission, candidates are advised to carefully review their application data before finalizing it. Once confirmed, they can proceed to the counseling stage, where seat allocation is based on merit rank and preference choices made during registration.

To optimize chances of admission, aspirants should follow these strategic steps:

  1. Research previous years' cutoff ranks for all categories and choose a balanced list of preferences.
  2. Ensure all documents are correctly uploaded to avoid disqualification issues.
  3. Consider the impact of category reservation while selecting options to maximize probability of securing a seat in a desired branch.
  4. Be prepared for multiple rounds of counseling if necessary, especially if there are vacant seats after initial allocation.
  5. Stay updated with official notifications and adhere strictly to deadlines for each stage of the process.

Preparation Tips for JEE Exams

Preparing for JEE Advanced or Main requires a structured approach combined with consistent practice. Here are some key tips:

  • Start early and create a detailed study plan covering all subjects—Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
  • Use quality reference books such as HC Verma for Physics, OP Tandon for Chemistry, and RD Sharma for Mathematics.
  • Practice previous year papers regularly to understand exam patterns and time management strategies.
  • Join coaching institutes or online platforms like BYJU'S or Unacademy for guided preparation.
  • Focus on understanding concepts rather than rote memorization, especially in Mathematics and Physics.
