Fee Structure Overview

The total cost of the Industrial Maintenance program at S S S S S P U Government Polytechnic is structured over four academic years, with each semester requiring payment of specific components. The following table outlines the detailed fee breakdown:

Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, academic resources, laboratory access, and administrative services provided throughout the semester.

Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in campus hostels with amenities such as Wi-Fi, electricity, and common facilities. Hostel charges vary based on room type and occupancy.

Mess Advance: A fixed amount paid at the beginning of each semester to cover food expenses during that period. The advance is adjusted at the end of the semester based on actual consumption.

Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal fee collected to support students in need and fund campus initiatives.

Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided by the campus medical center, including consultations, medications, and emergency care.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports sports activities, fitness programs, and recreational facilities available on campus.

Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs associated with conducting internal and external examinations.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel accommodation is categorized into single, double, and triple occupancy rooms with varying rent structures. Students can choose from multiple hostels based on availability and preferences:

• Single Occupancy Room: INR 18000/month (inclusive of utilities)
• Double Occupancy Room: INR 15000/month (inclusive of utilities)
• Triple Occupancy Room: INR 12000/month (inclusive of utilities)

The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis where students pay an advance amount which is adjusted based on actual consumption. Meals are provided in three shifts with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

A variety of financial aid options are available to eligible students:

• SC/ST/PwD Category: Full waiver on tuition fee and hostel rent for students from these categories.
• EWS Category: 50% concession on tuition fee and full waiver on hostel rent.
• MCM (Minority Community): 25% concession on tuition fee and 50% concession on hostel rent.

Income slabs for eligibility include families earning less than INR 2 lakhs annually for general category students and less than INR 1.5 lakhs for reserved categories.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid through online banking or credit/debit cards via the university portal. Payment deadlines are strict, with late fees applicable after a grace period of 10 days:

• Late Fee Calculation: INR 500 per day for payments beyond the deadline.
• Refund Rules: Refunds are processed only upon official withdrawal from the program, with deductions for administrative charges and hostel fees already paid.

Students must submit a formal application along with supporting documents to initiate refund procedures. The refund process typically takes 4-6 weeks for completion.
