Fee Structure Overview

The total program fee for the B.Tech in Software Engineering at School of Computer Science and IT is structured over four years, with detailed components for each semester:

• Tuition Fee: Covers instruction and administrative costs for academic programs. Fees increase annually to accommodate inflation and infrastructure upgrades.
• Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in campus hostels with shared facilities like common rooms, laundry, and security services.
• Mess Advance: A pre-paid amount covering monthly food expenses. Adjustments are made based on consumption.
• Student Benevolent Fund: Supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies during their studies.
• Medical Fees: Covers basic medical services provided within the campus health center.
• Gymkhana Fees: Includes access to gym facilities, sports equipment, and recreational activities.
• Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting internal and external examinations.

Hostel & Mess Charges

Our campus offers various room types for students:

• Single Occupancy Room: ₹25,000 per semester (includes utilities)
• Double Occupancy Room: ₹20,000 per semester (shared bathroom facilities)
• Triple Occupancy Room: ₹18,000 per semester (shared bathroom facilities)

The mess system operates on a monthly billing cycle. Students can choose from multiple meal plans:

• Standard Plan: ₹15,000 per month (3 meals/day)
• Premium Plan: ₹20,000 per month (3 meals/day + snacks and beverages)

Rebate policies allow students to receive partial refunds if they do not stay in the hostel for a full semester. Additionally, students with exceptional academic performance may be eligible for reduced fees or scholarships.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Financial assistance is available to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:

• SC/ST/PwD Category: Full waiver of tuition fee with partial concession in hostel rent and mess charges.
• EWS Category: 50% reduction in all fees, subject to verification of income certificate.
• MCM (Minority Community Member): 25% concession in fees, provided eligibility criteria are met.

Eligibility for scholarships is determined based on academic performance and financial need. Applications must be submitted through the official portal with supporting documents such as income certificates, mark sheets, and family details.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid before the start of each semester to avoid late penalties:

• Payment Deadlines: Fees are due by the 10th day of each semester. Late payments incur a penalty of ₹500 per day.
• Refund Rules: Refunds are processed only upon formal withdrawal from the institution. A processing fee of ₹1,000 is deducted from the refund amount.
• Payment Methods: Fees can be paid via net banking, credit/debit cards, or demand draft (DD) issued in favor of the university.
