Tuition Fee: This fee covers instruction, access to libraries, and academic resources. It is fixed for the entire duration of the program.

Hostel Rent: Accommodation charges are inclusive of utilities and maintenance. Hostels offer single, double, and triple occupancy options with varying amenities.

Mess Advance: A monthly advance is collected to cover meal expenses. The mess billing system includes daily consumption tracking and regular updates on meal costs.

Student Benevolent Fund: This fund supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies during their studies.

Medical Fees: Covers basic medical check-ups, vaccinations, and access to campus health services.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports recreational activities, sports facilities, and cultural events on campus.

Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs associated with conducting internal and external examinations.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel system at The Assam Kaziranga University Jorhat offers various room types to accommodate different preferences and budgets:

• Single Occupancy: ₹15000/month (inclusive of utilities)
• Double Occupancy: ₹10000/month (inclusive of utilities)
• Triple Occupancy: ₹8000/month (inclusive of utilities)

Mess charges are calculated based on daily consumption and vary between ₹3000-4000 per month. Rebate policies are applicable for students who attend regular classes and maintain good attendance.

Fee Waivers, Concessions & Scholarships

Financial assistance is available to eligible students through various schemes:

• SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% waiver on tuition fee with partial concessions on hostel and mess charges.
• EWS Category: 50% concession on tuition fee with full waiver on hostel and mess charges.
• MCM (Minority Community): 30% waiver on tuition fee with no concessions on hostel and mess charges.

Eligibility criteria are based on income slabs and caste certificates. Applications must be submitted along with supporting documents within the first month of the academic year.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments are made through online banking or NEFT/RTGS transfers. Students must ensure timely payment to avoid penalties:

• Payment Deadlines: Fees must be paid by the 10th of each month.
• Late Fee Calculations: ₹500 per day for delayed payments beyond the deadline.
• Refund Rules: Refunds are processed within 30 days upon withdrawal or completion of studies. Deductions include processing fees and administrative charges.
