Fee Component Descriptions
Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, laboratory access, and academic resources. This fee is fixed for the entire duration of the program.
Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in campus hostels with basic amenities such as beds, wardrobes, desks, and common areas. Room types include single, double, triple, and quadruple occupancy options.
Mess Advance: A prepayment for meals during the semester. The mess charges are calculated based on actual consumption after deducting the advance amount.
Student Benevolent Fund: Contributes to student welfare programs, including medical assistance, scholarships, and emergency support services.
Medical Fees: Covers access to on-campus health services, including consultations, diagnostics, and basic treatments.
Gymkhana Fees: Supports campus recreational facilities, including gyms, sports equipment, and cultural events.
Examination Fees: Includes costs associated with conducting internal and external examinations, including marking, evaluation, and result processing.
Hostel & Mess Charges
The hostel facility at Arunodaya University Papum Pare offers comfortable living arrangements for students. Hostels are equipped with essential amenities including air-conditioned rooms, study halls, laundry facilities, and 24/7 security.
Room types include single occupancy (INR 35,000/year), double occupancy (INR 35,000/year), triple occupancy (INR 35,000/year), and quadruple occupancy (INR 35,000/year). Each room comes with a bed, study table, chair, wardrobe, and access to common areas.
The mess billing system operates on an advance payment model. Students pay INR 20,000 per semester as a mess advance, which is adjusted against actual consumption at the end of the semester. The meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner with vegetarian options and regular dietary considerations.
Rebate policies allow students to receive partial refunds if they are absent for more than 10 days in a semester due to valid reasons such as illness or family emergencies. Full refund is provided for absences exceeding 20 days.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
Several financial assistance programs are available to eligible students based on income slabs and category-specific criteria:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Full waiver of tuition fee with partial rebate on hostel charges. Income slab: Below INR 3 lakh per annum.
- EWS Category: 50% waiver on tuition fee and full rebate on hostel charges. Income slab: Between INR 3-6 lakh per annum.
- MCM (Migrant Community Member): 25% waiver on tuition fee and 50% rebate on hostel charges. Income slab: Below INR 4 lakh per annum.
Additional scholarships are available for meritorious students based on academic performance, leadership, and community service. These include the Merit Scholarship (up to 100% waiver), Leadership Scholarship (50% waiver), and Community Service Scholarship (25% waiver).
Application Process
Students must submit applications along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), disability certificates (for PwD students), and academic transcripts. Applications are reviewed by the financial aid committee, which evaluates eligibility based on provided documentation.
Scholarship recipients are notified within two weeks of application submission. Recipients must maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.0 to retain their scholarship benefits.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fees must be paid through online banking, net banking, or NEFT transfer. Payment deadlines are strictly enforced, with late payments incurring a penalty of INR 100 per day beyond the due date.
The refund policy applies to students who withdraw from the program before completing the first semester. Full refunds are processed within 30 days of withdrawal approval, subject to deductions for administrative fees and hostel charges.
Students who wish to transfer to another institution must follow a formal process involving submission of withdrawal requests and approval from both institutions. Refunds will be processed after verification of all financial obligations.
