Detailed Fee Components

The breakdown of fees includes:

  • Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, laboratory facilities, and academic resources provided during the semester.
  • Hostel Rent: Monthly charge for accommodation in university-hosted hostels with shared or private rooms.
  • Mess Advance: Prepayment for meal services covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the entire semester.
  • Student Benevolent Fund: Contribution towards student welfare activities and emergency assistance programs.
  • Medical Fees: Covers access to on-campus medical facilities and health-related services.
  • Gymkhana Fees: Monthly fee for access to sports and recreational facilities including gym, swimming pool, and indoor games.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The university provides accommodation in well-maintained hostels with varying room types to suit different preferences:

  • Single Room: INR 45,000 per semester (includes utilities)
  • Double Occupancy Room: INR 35,000 per semester
  • Triple Occupancy Room: INR 25,000 per semester

Mess charges are collected in advance at the beginning of each semester and are inclusive of three meals daily. The billing system operates on a monthly basis with adjustments made based on actual consumption. Rebate policies allow for partial refunds if students leave before completing the semester.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Financial aid options are available for eligible students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% waiver on tuition fees and partial concession on hostel charges
  • EWS Category: 50% concession on tuition and full concession on hostel rent
  • MCM (Minority Community Members): 25% discount on all fees except hostel charges

Eligibility criteria are based on income slabs as defined by the government:

  • General Category: Income below INR 8 lakh per annum
  • SC/ST/PwD: Income below INR 4 lakh per annum
  • EWS: Income between INR 4 lakh and 8 lakh per annum

The application process requires submission of relevant documents including income certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and proof of address. Applications are reviewed by the financial aid committee to determine eligibility.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments can be made through online portals using debit cards, credit cards, net banking, or UPI transfers. The deadline for fee payment is usually one week after the commencement of the semester.

Late payments attract a penalty of INR 500 per day until cleared. Refunds are processed only upon withdrawal from the university and are subject to compliance with refund rules outlined by the institution. Students must submit a formal request along with supporting documents within 15 days of withdrawal.
