Admission Process
The admission process for the Surveying program at Government Polytechnic Tanakpur is designed to be transparent, fair, and inclusive. Applications are accepted through a centralized system managed by the state education department. The process begins with online registration followed by document verification and merit-based selection.
Step 1: Online Registration
Prospective students must register online via the official website of the state's education department. During this phase, candidates are required to fill out a detailed application form, upload scanned copies of academic documents, and pay the application fee. The registration window typically opens in June each year.
Step 2: Document Verification
After initial registration, selected applicants must appear for document verification at designated centers. Required documents include mark sheets from class 10th and 12th, identity proof, caste certificate (if applicable), and migration certificates if transferring from another institution.
Step 3: Marks Calculation & Merit List
The merit list is prepared based on performance in qualifying examinations. For the Surveying program, students must have passed their intermediate examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). The weightage assigned to each subject varies according to state guidelines.
