Hostel & Mess Charges
The hostel facilities at Indira University Pune are designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students. Hostels are equipped with modern amenities such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi connectivity, laundry services, and 24/7 security.
Room types include single occupancy rooms (INR 15,000/month), double occupancy rooms (INR 10,000/month), and triple occupancy rooms (INR 8,000/month). Each room comes with a bed, study table, chair, and storage space.
The mess billing system operates on a monthly cycle where students pre-pay for meals. The cost per meal varies depending on the type of meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and the dining hall selected. Students can choose from multiple mess options across different hostels.
Rebate policies are available for students who take leave or go on vacation during a month. A rebate of 50% is provided if a student stays away for more than three days but less than seven days, while full refunds are given for absences exceeding seven days.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
Indira University Pune offers various financial aid options to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. These include fee waivers, concessions, and scholarships based on income slabs and category-specific criteria.
For SC/ST/PwD students, a 100% fee waiver is applicable upon submission of valid certificates. EWS students are eligible for a 50% concession if their annual family income is below INR 6 lakh.
Merit-based scholarships are awarded to top-performing students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement or extracurricular excellence. These scholarships range from 25% to 100% of tuition fees and are renewable annually.
MCM (Minority Community Merit) scholarships are available for students belonging to minority communities who meet specific eligibility requirements. The scholarship amount varies from INR 10,000 to INR 50,000 per annum based on family income and performance.
Application processes for these financial aid options involve submitting detailed documentation including income certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), and academic transcripts. Detailed instructions are provided on the university website and through student counselors.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fees must be paid before the start of each semester according to the schedule announced by the administration. Payments can be made through online banking, credit/debit cards, or demand drafts issued in favor of Indira University Pune.
Failure to pay fees within the stipulated deadline results in late fees being imposed at a rate of 2% per month on outstanding balances. Students are advised to maintain communication with the finance department to resolve any discrepancies promptly.
In case of withdrawal from the program, the refund policy applies as follows: If a student withdraws before the commencement of classes, 100% of fees will be refunded minus administrative charges of INR 5,000. For withdrawals during the academic year, refunds are calculated based on the number of months attended and may include deductions for hostel accommodation and other services.
Refunds are processed within 30 working days after the withdrawal formalities are completed. Students must submit a written application along with supporting documents to initiate the refund process.
