The B.Sc. Nursing program at Indrashil University Mehsana is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of nursing, preparing them for diverse roles in the healthcare sector. The curriculum spans four years and includes core subjects, departmental electives, science electives, and hands-on laboratory experiences.
The program follows a semester-based structure that allows for gradual progression from foundational concepts to advanced clinical skills. Students begin with basic sciences and gradually transition into specialized nursing courses, culminating in a capstone project or thesis in their final year.

The following advanced departmental elective courses offer students opportunities to explore specialized areas of nursing practice and research:
The department strongly advocates for project-based learning as a core component of the curriculum. Projects are designed to integrate theory with practice, encouraging students to solve real-world problems through collaborative research, community engagement, and clinical simulations.
Mini-projects are assigned throughout the academic year, typically spanning 3-6 weeks, and require students to work in teams under faculty supervision. These projects may involve developing educational materials, conducting community health assessments, or designing intervention strategies for specific patient populations.
The final-year capstone project or thesis allows students to conduct independent research or implement a comprehensive nursing intervention. Students select topics aligned with their interests and career goals, often in consultation with faculty mentors who provide guidance on methodology, literature review, data collection, and presentation techniques.
Evaluation criteria for projects include innovation, feasibility, impact, teamwork, and adherence to academic standards. Faculty members from different disciplines collaborate to ensure that students receive multidisciplinary mentorship throughout their project journey.
