Admission Process
The admission to the Biotechnology program at Indus International Uniersity Una is based on performance in competitive national-level examinations such as JEE Advanced or JEE Main, along with other qualifying exams. The process begins with online registration and ends with seat acceptance after counseling.
Applicants must first register on the official website of the university or through the central counseling portal. During registration, candidates need to fill in personal details, academic history, and upload necessary documents such as identity proof, photograph, signature, and class 12 marksheet.
After successful registration, applicants must appear for the qualifying examination (JEE Advanced or JEE Main) and secure a rank that meets or exceeds the minimum cutoff set by the university. The rank is used to determine eligibility for counseling rounds and seat allocation.
Once the results are declared, candidates can proceed to the online counseling stage. This involves choosing preferred programs and colleges, followed by the final seat allotment process based on merit and preferences. Candidates must confirm their seat acceptance within a specified time frame to secure admission.

Exam Preparation Strategy
To excel in the qualifying examinations for admission to our Biotechnology program, aspirants should adopt a structured preparation strategy that covers all core subjects thoroughly.
Start by analyzing the syllabus and exam pattern of JEE Advanced or JEE Main. Focus on building strong fundamentals in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as these form the backbone of the exam. Use standard textbooks like NCERT for basics, followed by reference books such as H.C. Verma for Physics, O.P. Tandon for Chemistry, and R.D. Sharma for Mathematics.
Regular practice is crucial. Solve previous years' question papers and take mock tests to improve time management and accuracy. Join coaching institutes or online platforms that offer dedicated preparation strategies tailored for biotech aspirants.
Time management plays a significant role in exam success. Allocate specific hours daily for each subject, ensuring balanced study across all areas. Stay updated with current affairs related to science and technology, as they may appear in the general knowledge section.
Counseling Process
The counseling process is conducted online through the central portal managed by the Ministry of Education. Candidates must log in using their credentials and follow the instructions provided step-by-step.
During counseling, candidates can view available seats based on their ranks and preferences. They must fill in choices carefully, considering factors such as location, college reputation, and program specialization. The system automatically allocates seats according to merit and availability.
After seat allotment, candidates must confirm their admission by paying the required fees within the stipulated time. Failure to do so may result in loss of the allocated seat.
