Fee Component Explanation
Tuition Fee: Covers the cost of instruction, laboratory facilities, library access, and administrative support. It is designed to provide students with quality education and resources necessary for academic excellence.
Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in university-hosted hostels, which are equipped with basic amenities such as beds, study tables, wardrobes, and common areas. The rent covers maintenance, utilities, and security services.
Mess Advance: This is a prepayment for meals provided by the university's mess facilities. Students are required to pay this advance at the beginning of each semester, which is adjusted against their monthly meal charges.
Student Benevolent Fund: A small contribution towards welfare activities and support services for students facing financial hardships or emergencies. It also supports community development initiatives within and around the campus.
Medical Fees: Covers access to on-campus medical facilities, including consultations with doctors, diagnostic tests, and emergency care. Students receive priority treatment at the university hospital and are covered under a health insurance scheme provided by the institution.
Gymkhana Fees: Supports recreational activities and sports programs organized by the university's gymkhana committee. These include fitness training, sports tournaments, cultural events, and student-led initiatives aimed at promoting physical well-being and social interaction.
Examination Fees: Covers the costs associated with conducting examinations, including question paper preparation, evaluation, result processing, and certificate issuance. Students are required to pay this fee before appearing for final exams.
Hostel & Mess Charges
The university provides hostel accommodation in two categories: Single Occupancy Rooms and Double Occupancy Rooms. Both types come with essential furniture, internet connectivity, and 24/7 security.
- Single Occupancy Room: Rs. 6000 per semester for a room with one bed, study table, wardrobe, and fan.
- Double Occupancy Room: Rs. 5000 per semester for a shared room with two beds, study tables, wardrobes, and fans.
The mess facility offers three meals daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) with varied menu options to cater to different dietary preferences. Students are required to pay a monthly advance of Rs. 2000 for their meal charges, which is adjusted at the end of each month based on actual consumption.
Rebate policies apply in cases of prolonged absences due to illness or academic leave. Students must submit relevant documents such as medical certificates or leave letters to claim rebates.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
The university offers various financial assistance schemes to deserving students based on their economic background and merit.
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Students belonging to these categories receive a 50% concession on tuition fees and full waiver of hostel charges. They are also eligible for additional scholarships ranging from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 annually.
- EWS Category: Eligible students receive a 25% concession on tuition fees along with partial waiver of hostel charges. Additional financial aid may be available based on individual circumstances.
- MCM (Minority Community Member): Students from minority communities can avail of 10% concessions on tuition fees and reduced hostel charges.
To apply for fee waivers or scholarships, students must submit an application form along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates, and Aadhaar cards. The selection committee reviews applications based on predefined criteria and allocates financial assistance accordingly.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fees are to be paid online through the university's official payment gateway or via NEFT/RTGS transfers. Students must ensure timely payment to avoid late fees or academic penalties.
Late Fee Calculation: A late fee of Rs. 500 per day is charged for delayed payments beyond the due date. Payments made after 15 days of the deadline attract an additional penalty of 2% of the outstanding amount.
Refund Policy: Refunds are processed only in exceptional circumstances such as withdrawal from the university or transfer to another institution. Applications for refunds must be submitted within one month of the event causing the refund request. The refund amount is calculated after deducting applicable processing fees and administrative charges.
