Core Engineering: Graduates also find opportunities in core engineering roles with PSUs like BHEL, NTPC, and IOCL. These positions typically offer stable employment and growth prospects, though salaries are generally lower than those in the private sector.
Finance Sector: The finance industry, particularly fintech startups, has increased demand for Computer Science graduates. Roles include Quantitative Analyst, Risk Engineer, and Algorithmic Trader. Companies like Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and various hedge funds recruit heavily from our campus.
Consulting: Consulting firms such as McKinsey, BCG, and Bain often hire our students for roles in technology strategy, digital transformation projects, and data analytics consulting. These roles combine technical expertise with business acumen.
Analytics: With the rise of big data, analytics roles have become highly sought after. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, and Accenture offer positions for data analysts, business intelligence analysts, and machine learning engineers.
PSUs: Public Sector Undertakings continue to provide stable career paths with good benefits and job security. While salaries are moderate, these roles offer long-term stability and growth opportunities within government organizations.
The internship season begins in the third year of the program, allowing students to gain practical experience before graduation. Internships typically last 2-6 months and are arranged through the placement cell in collaboration with industry partners.
Historically, students receive internships at companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Flipkart. Stipend amounts vary from 30K to 70K per month depending on the company and role. Internship experiences often lead to full-time job offers or PPOs (Pre-Placement Offers).
Students are encouraged to participate in multiple internships to broaden their exposure and enhance their resumes. The placement office organizes workshops on resume writing, interview preparation, and professional etiquette to ensure students are well-prepared for the internship process.
