Fee Components Explained

Hostel & Mess Charges
Oriental University Indore offers multiple hostel options to accommodate students from diverse backgrounds. Hostels are categorized into single, double, triple, and quad occupancy rooms with shared bathrooms and common areas.
Room types include:
- Single Occupancy Room: INR 15000/month
- Double Occupancy Room: INR 9000/month
- Triple Occupancy Room: INR 6000/month
- Quad Occupancy Room: INR 4500/month
Mess charges vary based on the type of room and meal plan chosen. Students can opt for standard or premium plans, with options for vegetarian or non-vegetarian meals.
Rebate policies are applicable for students who have completed a certain number of consecutive months without absences. For example, students who attend classes regularly may receive a 10% rebate on their hostel rent.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
The university provides various financial assistance schemes to ensure that deserving students can pursue their education without financial constraints:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Full waiver of tuition fee and hostel rent. A partial concession on mess charges.
- EWS Category: 50% reduction in tuition fee and hostel rent. Reduced mess charges.
- MCM (Minority Community Students): 30% reduction in tuition fee. Limited concessions on other fees.
Eligibility criteria are based on income slabs, caste certificates, disability certificates, and other supporting documents. Applications must be submitted before the deadline specified by the university.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fee payments must be made through online banking or demand draft issued in favor of Oriental University Indore. Late payments attract a penalty fee of INR 500 per day until full payment is received.
Refunds are processed within 15 working days after withdrawal from the program, subject to compliance with university rules and regulations. Refund requests must be submitted along with relevant documentation including a letter of resignation, medical certificate (if applicable), and bank account details.
Students who leave the program before completing one academic year may not be eligible for full refunds, depending on the circumstances. The university reserves the right to adjust refund amounts based on actual expenses incurred during the period of enrollment.
