Fee Structure

The total fee for the Mechatronics program at Phonics Group Of Institutions is structured over four years, with detailed components broken down per semester:

Fee Components Explanation

Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, laboratory access, and course materials. It is subject to annual revision based on inflation and infrastructure development.

Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in campus dormitories with basic amenities such as Wi-Fi, electricity, and water supply. The rent varies depending on room type (single, double, triple sharing).

Mess Advance: A monthly advance payment for meals provided in the campus mess facilities. The amount is adjusted quarterly based on actual consumption.

Student Benevolent Fund: Contributes to student welfare activities and emergency assistance programs within the institute.

Medical Fees: Covers basic medical services available on campus, including consultations and minor treatments.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports recreational and sports activities, including access to gymnasiums, sports grounds, and cultural events.

Examination Fees: Paid for conducting internal assessments, practical exams, and final semester examinations.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel facilities are designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students. Rooms are categorized into single, double, and triple sharing arrangements with varying rent charges:

• Single Sharing: INR 35,000 per semester
• Double Sharing: INR 35,000 per semester
• Triple Sharing: INR 35,000 per semester

Mess billing is done monthly based on the number of meals consumed. The system uses RFID cards for tracking meal consumption and adjusting payments accordingly. Students are required to make an advance payment for a month's worth of meals.

Rebate policies allow students who stay home during holidays or take leave due to illness to receive partial refunds. These policies ensure flexibility while maintaining the integrity of the billing system.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Financial aid is available to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The following categories qualify for fee concessions:

• SC/ST/PwD: 100% waiver on tuition fees and partial concession on hostel charges.
• EWS: 50% waiver on tuition fees and 25% concession on hostel charges.
• MCM (Minority Community Students): 25% waiver on tuition fees.

The application process involves submitting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates (for SC/ST), disability certificates (for PwD), and proof of residence. The selection committee evaluates applications based on merit and financial need.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid within the specified deadlines to avoid late charges. Students are advised to pay in installments or through online banking options for convenience.

Late fees are calculated at 1% per month on outstanding balances. Refunds are processed only after verification of all dues and compliance with institute rules. Withdrawal from the program must be approved by the administration, and refund eligibility depends on the timing and reason for withdrawal.
