The culinary arts graduates from our program find employment across several sectors including IT/Software, Core Engineering, Finance, Consulting, Analytics, and PSUs. In the IT sector, many graduates work as food tech consultants or develop apps for restaurants and food delivery services.
Core engineering roles are common among those who pursue technical skills in food processing and manufacturing. Graduates also find opportunities in finance and consulting firms that specialize in hospitality and food service industries.
Analytics roles are growing, particularly for those interested in data-driven menu planning or consumer behavior analysis in the culinary space. Public sector jobs are available through government initiatives promoting tourism and food safety regulations.
In academia, several alumni have secured positions as lecturers or researchers in culinary science and hospitality management. Additionally, many graduates launch their own startups, focusing on sustainable cuisine, food innovation, or culinary tourism ventures.
The internship season typically begins in the third year of study, with students securing placements in leading hotels, restaurants, and food service companies across India and abroad. The process involves an application round followed by interviews conducted by industry representatives.
Historically, internships at top-tier establishments like Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury hotels, and food tech startups have provided invaluable experience for students. Stipend packages vary depending on the location and nature of the internship, with averages ranging from INR 30,000 to 50,000 per month.
Students are encouraged to network during their internships and build professional relationships that may lead to full-time job offers. Many alumni report that their internships were instrumental in shaping their career paths and providing hands-on experience in real-world culinary environments.
