Admission Process Overview

The admission process for the Physiotherapy program at The Assam Royal Global University Guwahati is conducted through JEE Main and/or other relevant entrance examinations. Prospective students must follow a sequential set of steps to secure admission into the program.

Step 1: Application Form Submission - Students interested in pursuing Physiotherapy must submit their applications online via the official university portal. The application form requires personal details, educational qualifications, and preferred category (General, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwD). Applicants are required to upload scanned copies of certificates, photographs, and signatures.

Step 2: Entrance Examination Eligibility - Candidates must have passed or be appearing for the qualifying examination (12th Grade or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and Mathematics. Minimum aggregate percentage required is 60% in PCM subjects combined. For reserved categories, this threshold may vary slightly depending on state regulations.

Step 3: Entrance Exam Registration - Once the application form is submitted, students must register for JEE Main or other specified entrance exams. The registration fee varies annually but typically ranges between INR 1000-2000 for general category candidates and INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Step 4: Conduct of Entrance Exams - The entrance exam is conducted twice a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates appearing in either session can use their scores for admission purposes. Scores are normalized based on the performance distribution among all examinees to ensure fairness.

Step 5: Merit List Preparation - Based on the entrance exam scores, merit lists are prepared separately for each category (General, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwD). The ranking considers all candidates within a category and allocates seats accordingly.

Step 6: Counseling Process - Shortlisted candidates participate in centralized counseling sessions where they fill choices of colleges and programs based on their ranks. The process includes multiple rounds of seat allocation until all available seats are filled or the candidate chooses to accept an offer.

Step 7: Seat Acceptance - After final seat allocation, candidates must confirm their acceptance by paying the required fees within specified deadlines. Failure to do so results in forfeiture of the allocated seat.
