Admission Process

The admission process for the Agriculture program at University of Science and Technology Meghalaya is designed to be transparent, fair, and aligned with national standards. The process is primarily based on performance in competitive entrance examinations such as JEE Main and JEE Advanced, though other qualifying exams are also accepted.

Applicants must first register online through the official university website. The registration process involves filling out a detailed application form with personal, academic, and contact information. Applicants are required to upload scanned copies of their 10th and 12th-grade certificates, identity proof, and other relevant documents.

After the initial registration, candidates must appear for the qualifying examination. For JEE Main, the exam is conducted twice a year, and candidates must score above the minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for counseling. For JEE Advanced, candidates must first qualify in JEE Main and then appear for the advanced examination.

Once candidates qualify, they must participate in the counseling process. The counseling is conducted by the university in coordination with the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Candidates must fill in their preferences for different programs and colleges based on their rank and category.

The final step in the admission process is seat acceptance. Candidates who are offered a seat must confirm their acceptance online and pay the required fees. The seat acceptance process is usually completed within a few days, and candidates are advised to complete it promptly to avoid losing their seat.
